These Terms of Use explain the basic rules for using My Digital Diary. We have tried to keep them clear and practical. By creating an account or continuing to use My Digital Diary, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. About My Digital Diary

My Digital Diary is a personal planning and productivity platform designed to help users organise different areas of their lives. Features may include:

• Daily and annual planning
• Financial tracking
• Savings and budgeting
• Health and wellbeing records
• Notes and productivity tools
• Meetings and reminders
• Spiritual growth records
• Business cards
• Document signing
• Reports
• AI-assisted planning
• Other related tools Features may be added, changed or improved over time.

  2. Your account

  You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your login information secure. You should:
  • Use a secure password
  • Keep your login details private
  • Avoid allowing unauthorised people to use your account
  • Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised
  You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the activity results from a failure on our part.

  3. Information you add

  You remain responsible for the information, documents, notes and other content you add to My Digital Diary. You should only upload or enter information that:
  • You have the right to use
  • Does not unlawfully violate another person rights
  • Is not illegal, fraudulent or deliberately harmful
  • Does not contain malicious software
  You remain the owner of your personal content. You give us permission to process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain and improve the services you choose to use.

  4. Personal and sensitive information

  My Digital Diary may allow you to store sensitive information such as financial, health and personal records. You choose what to enter. You should consider carefully what information you wish to store and protect your account and devices appropriately.

  5. AI-powered features

  AI Planner and other AI-powered features may generate suggestions based on information you provide. AI responses may be incomplete, inaccurate or unsuitable for your circumstances. You should use your own judgement before acting on AI-generated information. AI-generated content is not a substitute for advice from a qualified:
  • Financial adviser
  • Accountant
  • Doctor or healthcare professional
  • Lawyer
  • Counsellor
  • Other professional adviser
  Where your own third-party AI API credentials are used, you are responsible for any charges and for complying with that provider terms.

  6. Financial tools

  Financial tools within My Digital Diary are intended for personal organisation, tracking and planning. They do not provide regulated financial advice. Calculations, projections and AI recommendations should be reviewed before you rely on them for important financial decisions. You remain responsible for your financial decisions.

  7. Health and wellbeing tools

  Health, exercise, diet and sleep features are intended to help you keep personal records and organise wellbeing-related information. They are not medical services and are not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent medical conditions. For medical concerns, speak to an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

  8. Subscriptions and trials

  Some features may require a paid subscription. Where a subscription applies, the relevant page should show:
  • The plan selected
  • The price
  • The billing period
  • Any applicable trial
  • The expected renewal or expiry date
  You are responsible for reviewing the price and plan details before making payment. Where supported, reminders may be sent before a subscription or trial expires.

  9. Payments

  Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. Those providers may have their own terms, fees and privacy practices. We do not control every part of a third-party payment provider service. A subscription should only be treated as successfully paid when payment confirmation has been received and recorded by the system.

  10. Cancellation and expiry

  Where supported, you may stop renewing your subscription. If your subscription expires, access to certain paid features may be reduced or restricted according to the plan rules displayed to you. Your stored information will not automatically be treated as deleted merely because a subscription expires. Account deletion is handled separately through the Privacy & Data section.

  11. Fair use

  You must not misuse My Digital Diary. This includes attempting to:
  • Access another person account or information
  • Bypass security controls
  • Interfere with the service
  • Upload malicious code
  • Abuse APIs or automated functions
  • Use the service for unlawful activities
  • Reverse engineer protected parts of the service where prohibited by law
  • Deliberately overload or disrupt the platform
  We may restrict or suspend access where necessary to protect users, the service or third parties.

  12. External services

  Some features may connect to services provided by third parties, such as:
  • Calendar providers
  • Cloud storage providers
  • AI providers
  • Payment providers
  • Email or notification services
  Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for service interruptions, policy changes or failures caused entirely by third-party services outside our reasonable control.

  13. Availability of the service

  We aim to keep My Digital Diary available and reliable, but we cannot always promise uninterrupted availability. Temporary interruptions may occur because of:
  • Maintenance
  • Updates
  • Internet outages
  • Hosting problems
  • Third-party service failures
  • Security incidents
  • Events outside our reasonable control
  Where practical, we will work to restore affected services as soon as possible.

  14. Backups

  Where backup services are enabled, we may maintain backups to support recovery and continuity. Users should not rely on My Digital Diary as the only copy of extremely important documents or records. Where an export or backup option is available to you, we encourage you to use it for information that you consider particularly important.

  15. Account deletion

  You may request deletion of your account through the available account settings. Before deletion, we may:
  • Ask why you are leaving
  • Ask you to confirm your request
  • Offer to provide a backup or export of your information
  Confirmed account deletion may enter a 30-day grace period before permanent deletion. During that period, you may be able to cancel the deletion request. After permanent deletion, information may no longer be recoverable. Certain limited records may be retained where legally required or where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

  16. Intellectual property

  The My Digital Diary application, branding, software, design and related platform content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our software or branding to you. Your personal content remains yours.

  17. Limitation of responsibility

  We work to provide a useful and reliable service, but My Digital Diary is a personal organisation platform and cannot guarantee particular financial, health, productivity, business or personal outcomes. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by:
  • Decisions made using user-entered information
  • Reliance on AI-generated suggestions without appropriate review
  • Third-party service failures
  • Loss of access caused by a user own device, password or connectivity issues
  • Information entered incorrectly by the user
  Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

  18. Changes to the service or these Terms

  We may improve, modify or discontinue individual features as the platform develops. We may also update these Terms. Where a change is significant, we may update the version/date and notify users where appropriate. Continued use of the service after updated Terms take effect may be treated as acceptance where permitted by law.

  19. Ending your use of the service

  You can stop using My Digital Diary at any time. Where available, you can also export your information and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access where there is serious misuse, unlawful activity or a significant breach of these Terms.
